About
Evie Dolan is a filmmaker, musician, and recent Wesleyan University graduate with Departmental Honors in film. Her work spans narrative filmmaking, live music performance, sound production, and comedy. She is particularly interested in the ways sound, image, and performance work together to create mood, emotion, and meaning.
At Wesleyan, Evie studied film while exploring coursework in global cinema, horror, comedy, music theory, aesthetics, and cultural studies. She worked as a sound engineer for Wesleyan's Sound Cooperative, played in multiple bands, and wrote, directed, produced, and edited her senior thesis film.
Prior to college, Evie performed professionally on Broadway and Off-Broadway as a musician and actor, recording the Original Broadway Cast Album for School of Rock and appearing on national television and at major live events.

You Miss 100% of the Shots You Don't Take (2026)

13-minute short film and senior thesis project.
A darkly comic satire centered on a small-town beauty pageant, the film explores performance, ambition, identity, and the stories people tell themselves in pursuit of recognition.
The project received Departmental Honors and is currently being submitted to film festivals.
Additional responsibilities included leading sound editing and collaborating with a composer from Berklee College of Music to create an original score.
