Evie Dolan is a 13-year old singer, musician and actor from New York City and was most recently playing the role of Katie in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “School of Rock – the Musical” now playing at Broadway’s Winter Garden Theater.

Evie originated the role of Katie in the June 2015 Off-Broadway production of “School of Rock - the Musical”  at the Gramercy Theatre in New York.  In his piece on the workshop, theater critic Michael Riedel of the New York Post wrote “Everybody’s raving about the kids in the show, especially 11-year-old Evie Dolan.”

March 2017, Evie was featured in Drew Gasperini and School of Rock the Musicals Alex Brightman's new musical adaptation of Ned Vizzini's "It's Kind of A Funny Story" at Feinstein's/54 Below off-broadway. Evie joined Colton Ryan of Dear Evan Hansen as Leila, his little sister, to debut the song "Did You Know?" Evie also joined Alex Brightman to debut "A Bear in A Dress" from the new Gasperini/Brightman musical "The Whipping Boy" based on the Newbury award-winning book by Sid Fleischman.

Commercially, Evie has worked with renowned photographer Bruce Weber on “Don’t Steal the Jacket” for Moncler and “Kicking Back with my Dogs” for Shinola. She has performed in downtown NYC in various venues including the Listening Room, the Tribeca Film Festival and at a variety of charitable events including at the Zanmi Beni Children’s Home in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. 

Until recently, Evie took classes and acted at Kid City Theater where she performed in such classic musicals as “Into the Woods”  (Little Red Riding Hood); “The Sound of Music” (Gretl); “Gypsy” (June);  “Annie Get Your Gun” (Little Jake); “Annie” (Annie) and “Joseph and the Technicolor Dream Coat” (Simeon and the baker.)

Evie studies bass guitar with Dan Kleederman at Replay Studios. She trains with vocal coach Trapper Felides and voice teacher Mary Rodgers.  Her first dance lessons were in the beginning ballet program at the Joffrey School of Ballet.   She has more recently taken ballet and lyrical dance at Downtown Dance Factory and from dance teachers Richard Amaro and Thommie Rhetter.  She has taken acting classes at the Arts Effect.  

Evie studied piano with Yukimi Song and plays the ukulele, bass guitar, guitar, mandolin and saxophone.  She loves photography, soccer, cooking, sewing and can walk on stilts.
